Structural Biology Intern

Genesis Molecular AI is pioneering artificial intelligence guided rational drug design to address severe unmet medical needs for patients. Our lab in San Diego seeking a motivated undergraduate or postgraduate student for an immersive internship within our Structural Biology team. This role offers hands-on experience in the end-to-end structure determination process while interacting with cross-functional teams to drive drug discovery efforts. The internship will provide the intern with valuable experience in scientific discovery in an industry setting.

What You Will Do

• Gain structural biology lab skills (x-ray crystallography and cryoEM) and apply them to a project

• Document all findings in the structural biology lab

• Attend project meetings with their mentors and present findings

• Prepare a report with final findings at the end of the summer

• Additional duties and responsibilities as required

What you will Bring

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program (BS/MS/PhD) in Structural Biology, Biophysics, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.

• Basic laboratory proficiency and a strong desire to learn structural biology techniques.

• Good multi-tasking, organizational, record keeping, and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary, team-oriented, collaborative, high performance environment

• Enthusiasm, integrity, self-motivation, strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail are necessary
