As the Structural BIM Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the digital structural delivery of high-rise, mixed-use, healthcare and cultural landmarks across the MENA region. Operating within Omrania by Egis' Building Projects Design Management Office, you will be entrusted with the critical task of managing the 3D-to-7D BIM workflow, ensuring the transformation of complex architectural visions into code-compliant, fully coordinated structures.

 

• Assume full responsibility for end-to-end structural BIM processes, from concept LOD 200 to as-built LOD 500. This includes the meticulous management of model progression schedules, rigorous clash detection, and overseeing the digital sign-off process.

• Undertake the authorship and auditing of concrete families in Revit, with the additional responsibility of scripting parametric design options utilising Dynamo/Grasshopper.

• Execute linear and non-linear analysis using ETABS, SAFE, and SAP2000. Subsequently, convert the resultant data into BIM objects, ensuring and certifying compliance with international codes and standards.

• Preside over BIM coordination meetings with architects, MEP, façade, and infrastructure teams. Your primary objective will be to identify and resolve 3D clashes before they manifest on-site, thereby mitigating potential construction delays and cost overruns.

• Oversee the preparation and delivery of COBie and IFC4 data drops, ensuring the highest standards of data integrity and completeness.

 

The following qualifications are essential for this critical role:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited, internationally recognised university is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2–5 years of progressive experience in structural analysis, design, and BIM delivery for building projects is required.
• Demonstrated advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is crucial, along with a comprehensive understanding of BIM workflows, LOD matrices, clash detection, and model federation.
• Mastery of the MS Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) for reporting, data pivoting, and cloud-based collaboration is imperative.
• Extensive hands-on experience with industry-standard analysis packages, including SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE and STAAD.Pro is essential. Familiarity with IDEA StatiCa, or Tekla Tedds will be considered advantageous.
• In-depth, current knowledge of ACI 318, ASCE 7, IBC, UAE and Saudi Building Codes. The ability to cite relevant clauses without prompt is expected.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills are paramount for success in this position.
