We operate 24/7 and as such you are required to work flexible hours, weekends and participate in an on-call rota. Full training/PPE/use of company equipment will be provided to ensure that all our drainage engineers have the right tools, competency and confidence to undertake the work to Lanes’ high standard of operation regardless of background or previous experience. 

 

Working in the Durrington Head Office, you will be administrating all streetwork permits and notices, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA) and the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA). 

 

As a Streetworks Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordination of work with our planning and scheduling teams to enable operational delivery in compliance with relevant legislation. 

 

Position: Streetworks Coordinator 

Location: Durrington Head Office, Worthing, West Sussex

Job Type: Permanent, full-time

Hours: Monday - Friday, (hours to be discussed at interview).

Salary: £30,000 per annum, depending upon experience

Responsibilities:

Manage the co-ordination of Street Works by liaising with Statutory Undertakers, County Divisions and Agents, Emergency Services, etc. 

Assess applications for and issue licences where appropriate for skips, scaffolds, hoardings, oversails, banners over the highway and any other future related issues. 

Facilitate and broker solutions to network occupancy conflicts, making unilateral decisions where necessary. 

Lead the development and continuing application of policies, systems, processes, standards and QA mechanisms for the management and control of penalties for failure to meet with the requirements of appropriate legislation. 

Supervise the use of and operate the Street Works Register to manage the planning of works and events being organised on the highway. 

Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them. 

Any other reasonable ad-hoc duties, tasks or projects as requested by the Streetworks Manager or Senior Leadership Team
