The Strategy & Innovation Intern will support the Strategy & Innovation teams across communication, impact assessment, knowledge management and coordination activities. The selected candidate will contribute to communication and content-related tasks, support the implementation of the innovation impact assessment framework across the portfolio, and assist with research, knowledge management and internal coordination.

This role offers hands-on exposure to how a European innovation organisation operates at the intersection of urban mobility, strategy and impact. You will gain insight into how innovation programmes are designed and managed, how their impact is measured, and how results are translated into clear narratives and communication outputs.

It is a highly versatile position, designed for candidates interested in combining analytical, organisational and communication skills, and in understanding how innovation ecosystems drive tangible change in cities.

Main responsibilities:

Support communication and coordination between the Strategy team, Innovation programmes and the Communication department, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring alignment.

Contribute to communication-related activities, including drafting messaging and articles, preparing materials, and supporting the organisation and tracking of events and panels.

Support the implementation of the Innovation Impact Assessment framework by coordinating with innovation projects, gathering and structuring data, and maintaining tracking tools.

Contribute to knowledge management activities, including coordination activities, structuring internal documentation and facilitating information sharing.

Contribute to translating strategy outputs into materials such as presentations, factsheets, internal educational material, and external communication content.

Provide operational and administrative support to broader Strategy and Innovation activities as required.

Must-have:

Master’s degree (completed less than 2 years ago or ongoing) in Public Policy, Innovation Management, Urban Studies, European Affairs, Communications, Sustainable Mobility, or a related field. 

Proficiency in English (C1 level or equivalent). 

Strong communications and organisational skills and ability to support coordination and event-related activities.

Ability to synthesise complex information into clear and concise materials.

Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive workplace culture.

Nice-to-have:

Previous internship or academic experience related to strategy, innovation ecosystems or urban mobility.

Experience in an international or European environment.

Additional European languages.

Kindly note that this is a full-time intenship position. Spanish Internship Contract OR University Internship Agreement. 

Starting date: ASAP April 2026.

Duration: 6 months  

Compensation: 1.450 € gross per month. 

No relocation expenses are granted.
