What we’re looking for: 
A strong strategy practitioner who can take ownership of key parts of an engagement, helping turn ambiguity into clear direction and action. 
This is a hands-on role. You will work as part of a small, multi-disciplinary team, driving analysis, shaping thinking, and helping translate ideas into structured, investable propositions. 
You’ll work closely with a Strategy and Design Leads, who owns the engagement, while you take responsibility for progressing the work, developing outputs, and contributing to day-to-day client interaction. 
We’re looking for someone with a solid grounding in strategy and product thinking, who is comfortable working in ambiguity, and motivated by making ideas real. 
Key Responsibilities: 
• Own and deliver discrete workstreams within Dava.Y engagements (typically 4–10 weeks) 
• Conduct research, analysis and synthesis to help frame problems and identify where value sits 
• Develop clear, structured outputs that support strategic direction (e.g. opportunity areas, propositions, business cases) 
• Translate early-stage thinking into clear, well-articulated recommendations 
• Contribute to workshops, including preparation, facilitation support and synthesis 
• Work collaboratively with design and technology to shape joined-up solutions 
• Use AI tools and techniques where appropriate to accelerate and broaden research, synthesis and concept generation 
• Contribute to proposals, pitches and early-stage opportunity shaping 
Experience 
• 4-8 years in strategy, product, innovation or digital roles 
• Experience contributing to projects or workstreams in fast-paced or ambiguous environments 
• Background in consulting, product, design studio, venture or similar 
• Exposure to early-stage problem definition and opportunity shaping 
Skills & Attributes 
• Strong strategic thinking and problem structuring ability 
• Able to work through ambiguity and move thinking forward 
• Clear communicator, able to structure and express ideas effectively 
• Comfortable engaging with clients and contributing to workshops 
• Collaborative, able to work across strategy, design and tech 
• Commercially aware and interested in how ideas translate into outcomes 
• High standards for quality, clarity and pace 
• Curious and proactive in using AI to enhance thinking and delivery
