About the Opportunity

Our Solution Value Engineers are field value specialists who drive deal success through expert application of proven value selling methodologies and quantification of business outcomes. As strategic partners to our Field sales teams and customers, they impact buying decisions by facilitating value discovery sessions, building compelling business cases, and establishing consensus on measurable business outcomes. This customer-facing role focuses on execution with Commercial and Enterprise accounts, leveraging our Value Engineering frameworks and resources to assess ROI and strategic business impact.

What to expect?

Lead Customer-Facing Value Discovery: As part of our Value & Strategy team you will execute strategic value assessment sessions, mutual discovery workshops, and ROI modeling engagements directly with Digital Leaders, C-suite executives, and business decision-makers to quantify both financial and operational benefits of our digital experience solutions.

Accelerate and Expand Enterprise Sales Pursuits: Partner closely with Account Executives, Solution Engineers, and Field sales teams to lead value discovery and establish early value alignment, build consensus across multiple stakeholder groups, and position Contentful solutions as strategic enablers of customer digital transformation objectives.

Drive Strategic Business Outcomes: Create and deliver compelling value narratives and business cases that demonstrate the transformative impact of our enterprise content platform, personalization, visual studio builder, AI workflows and automation, marketplace and ecosystem technologies.

What you need to be successful?

• 8+ years experience in field sales execution as a Value Engineer, Solution Engineer, Strategic Consultant, or similar customer-facing presales role at SaaS growth companies focused on solution and value selling

• Strong understanding of digital experience, content management, or similar enterprise software landscapes

• Proven track record supporting Enterprise deals valued at $500k+ ACV with companies over $1B in revenue

• Expert proficiency in value selling methodologies including mutual value discovery, strategic workshops, value-based storytelling, and ROI/TCO modeling

• Direct experience engaging Digital Leaders, C-suite executives, and business and technical decision-makers in complex Enterprise sales cycles

• Strong presentation and facilitation skills with executive audiences, with ability to build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups including financial decision-makers for digital experience and digital marketing platform investments

• Demonstrated ability to rapidly execute on existing value engineering frameworks, tools, and templates in addition to ongoing customization, refinement and resource development primarily focused in the presales stages of the customer journey in addition to cross-functional collaboration for value engineering and value realization with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Growth, IT and Legal

• Broad and deep knowledge of digital experience and marketing technology landscape, and ability to articulate the importance and impact of various elements that typically exist within an enterprise. This may include (but is not limited to) DXP, CMS, DAM, CRM, CDP, Commerce, Testing and Analytics, Personalization, Optimization, AI Automation & Scaling, etc

• Background in digital strategy, digital experience, content management, personalization, analytics, orchestration, AI content automation, customer experience or similar sales consultancy roles with Enterprise clients for SaaS-based solutions

• Experience working with Content Management, Digital Experience, Personalization, Optimization, Analytics or similar enterprise technology platforms as a Digital Leader or strategic product, brand, or business owner

• Understanding of MACH architectures, composable technology solutions, legacy DXP/CMS and competitive landscape

• Knowledge of enterprise change management and digital transformation initiatives

• Comprehension of competitor value propositions and market positioning
