Strategic Planning Lead (Based in HCMC)

YOUR MISSION:
• We are looking for a Strategic Planning Lead to partner with our CEO, Management Team, and Finance to shape and run Amanotes’ planning engine.
• You will own the annual and quarterly planning process, build strategic and financial scenarios, and translate company vision into clear KPIs, priorities, and execution roadmaps. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, finance, and operations, and is a key enabler for our next stage of growth.
• You will report to the Head of Finance and work closely with leaders across Product, Games, Tech, Music, Data, and People.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Own the planning process:
+ Design, run, and continuously improve the annual and quarterly planning cycles for the company and departments.
+ Facilitate top‑down goal setting with CEO/Management and bottom‑up plans from departments.
+ Build and maintain planning templates, guidelines, and timelines so teams know exactly what is expected and when.

• Build strategic & financial scenarios:
+ Develop and maintain strategic & financial models (3‑year and annual views) for revenue, profit, user metrics and key capabilities.
+ Run scenario and sensitivity analyses to support major decisions (e.g., new bets, investments, portfolio choices, cost structures).
+ Turn complex numbers into clear options and trade‑offs for leadership.

• Architect KPIs and objectives:
+ Co‑design the company KPI set and annual targets, and ensure they link clearly to departmental drivers and initiatives.
+ Work with People and Finance to ensure performance management and rewards are aligned with company objectives (not siloed by function).
+ Document KPI definitions, calculation logic, and data sources in a clear, accessible way.

• Generate insights & solve strategic problems
+ Conduct or coordinate market, competitor, and benchmark research to inform strategic choices.
+ Analyze business performance and capability metrics, and synthesize key insights and implications for each planning cycle.
+ Break down big strategic questions into structured problem statements, hypotheses, and validation plans.

• Drive alignment & communication
+ Translate strategy and planning concepts into simple, shared language for leaders and teams.
+ Prepare and deliver planning workshops, training, and playbooks for departments.
+ Create concise, high‑quality decks and pre‑reads for CEO, Management, and (when needed) Board discussions.

• Support key strategic initiatives
+ Track a small portfolio of high‑impact strategic or innovation projects, ensuring they have clear objectives, milestones, and success metrics.
+ Help leadership review progress and make continue / stop / pivot decisions using data and learnings.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
• Background & experience:
+ 6+ years of experience in one or more of the following: .Strategic planning / corporate strategy; FP&A or finance with strong strategy exposure; Management consulting; Strategy / operations roles in tech, gaming, or digital businesses
+ Demonstrated experience owning or co‑owning planning or KPI processes at company or business unit level.
+ Solid experience with financial modelling and scenario planning, not just slide‑level strategy.

• Skills & competencies:
+ Strategic thinking: able to connect vision, market, product, capability, and numbers into coherent options.
+ Analytical & financial skills: advanced Google Sheets/Excel; comfortable with P&L, cash flow, KPIs, andgrowth metrics.
+ Facilitation & communication: strong presence with senior stakeholders; can lead cross‑functional discussions and simplify complex topics.
+ Project & stakeholder management: able to run multi‑stakeholder processes with clear timelines, owners, and outputs.
+ Collaboration & influence: works well across functions, listens, challenges constructively, and builds alignment.
+ Excellent written and spoken English.
