Job Description

Our Strategic Planning Team plays a crucial role in translating high-level business goals into actionable strategies, ensuring alignment across departments. By breaking down ABOUT YOU’s overall revenue and profit goals into clear, consumable input, we empower teams to work efficiently toward achieving company objectives. Planning is conducted at different levels of granularity – from the strategic 5-year plan to the fiscal year plan, monthly targets, and daily forecasts. We continuously monitor our KPIs, analyze deviations, and drive corrective actions. Through precise forecasting, target setting, as well as campaigns and performance analysis, we provide data-driven insights and hence support and guide our various stakeholders like pricing, marketing, merchandise planning, partner management or logistics in their business decisions. 

As a Strategic Planner (m/f/d), you will work both analytically and strategically, taking responsibility from day one within the various planning cycles. Additional revenue measures, such as innovative campaign formats, will be evaluated before launch. Through your analyses and close collaboration with teams such as Pricing and Marketing, you will contribute significantly to the improved steering of ABOUT YOU. In a dynamic and continuously evolving environment, you will have the opportunity to bring in your own ideas, actively improve processes, and take ownership in driving strategically relevant topics.

Responsibilities

• Strategically plan key business metrics such as revenue, return rates, and discounts down to contribution margin
• Derive monthly targets from the annual business plan and communicate them to teams such as Merchandise Planning and Pricing for optimal management
• Monitor all relevant business and performance metrics and provide concrete recommendations for action
• Prepare cross-team ad-hoc analyses, reports, and dashboards
• Continuously develop, optimize, and automate planning and reporting processes

Requirements

• Completed degree in business administration or a comparable qualification
• Initial relevant professional experience in planning, controlling, or management consulting, ideally in a dynamic e-commerce or fashion environment
• Good understanding of common performance metrics and excellent MS Excel skills
• Strong analytical skills, high personal accountability, entrepreneurial thinking, and hands-on mentality
• Very good German or English skills,
• Basic knowledge of SQL and Google Looker Studio is a plus
