ABOUT THE ROLE
The Strategic Partnerships Advisor is a client-facing, sales-oriented role focused on onboarding, relationship development, and revenue growth. This position plays a critical role in guiding new partners through the early stages of the sales cycle and onboarding experience—setting the foundation for long-term success, retention, and expansion.
You will work closely with prospects and newly signed clients, delivering product demos, managing onboarding, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting the transition from sales to operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of sales, relationship management, and customer success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & New Business Development
Own inbound website demo requests and guide prospects through the sales cycle
Conduct outbound prospecting using approved lead lists to generate new opportunities.
Build, maintain, and manage prospect and partner records in HubSpot.
Support sales initiatives through product demonstrations, technical setup, and discovery.
Identify high-value prospects, VIPs, and event owners engaged with the platform.
Research competitors and stay informed on industry trends and market opportunities.
Assist in developing and executing sales and marketing communication strategies.
Support the re-engagement of dormant or re-integrated partners.
Partner Onboarding
Lead onboarding for new EventConnect and HousingConnect partners.
Ensure all onboarding milestones are completed to support long-term partner success.
Deliver training, best-practice resources, and follow-up materials to the partners.
Configure event- and association-specific settings within the platform.
Support payment processing setup for EventConnect registrations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Sales and Operational teams to ensure a seamless partner experience.
Assist strategic partnership team members with demos, scheduling, scoring, and technical needs.
Contribute to training materials, documentation, and instructional videos.
Participation with a rotating on-call schedule for the company emergency phone line.
Qualifications
University or College degree
Proven experience in sales, account management, or partnership development
Strong ability to build, manage, and grow client relationships
Knowledge of the youth and amateur sports industry is an asset.
Knowledge of the hotel industry, brand standards, and hotel contracts is an asset
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Zendesk, or similar) preferred
Comfortable learning and working within proprietary software
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Willingness to work in the office as part of a hybrid model
