Job Description
Create positive change. Be a champion of Ecological Transformation.
This is a rare opportunity to lead one of Australia's most significant water infrastructure assets at a critical time for water security in one of the world's most liveable cities.
The Sydney Desalination Plant is a world class seawater reverse osmosis facility capable of supplying up to 15% of Sydney's drinking water needs. Located at Kurnell on the shores of Botany Bay, less than an hour from the CBD, Veolia has operated the plant on behalf of our client since 2012 under a long term O&M contract.
As Strategic Operations Director you will have full accountability for contract delivery, client relationships, financial management and team leadership. This is primarily a leadership role – 70% strategic, 30% technical – and you will be as comfortable in the boardroom as you are on site.
• Proven senior operational leadership experience in a complex, regulated environment, ideally in water, wastewater or desalination
• A proven track record in senior strategic leadership within a complex, fast paced environment
• Exceptional stakeholder and client management skills, including at executive level
• Strong commercial and financial management capability
• A genuine commitment to safety, people development and continuous improvement
Join Veolia Australia and play a pivotal role in securing Sydney's water future at one of Australia's most iconic infrastructure assets.
