• Engineer will be part of a 24/7 IT backup operations team and will be directly responsible for the technology below.
Storage: Nimble, 3PAR, Primera, Alletra, MSA, SAN, StoreOnce, Qumulo NAS
• The position involves taking a leadership role with customer teams and internal teams to resolve problems, maintain managed backup operations and, when necessary, to return systems to operational status.
• The job also involves leading communication between other technical teams, customers and internal organization to fulfill customer needs and accomplish customer satisfaction.
• Job specific responsibilities include maintaining Nimble, 3PAR, Primera, Alletra, MSA storage, StoreOnce, Qumulo NAS and associated SAN infrastructure.
• Supporting and troubleshooting Storage and SAN issues in widely distributed environment.
• Plan and implement best practices for Storage and SAN solutions.
• Proactive measures to ensure adequate storage (Nimble, 3PAR, Primera, MSA or any HPE storage in scope) capacity is available.
• Create SOPs and update documentation for various administration activities on Storage and SAN.
• Perform configuration changes as per design and build.
Experience Required
• 3+ years of IT experience with Hands on all HPE and other Storage products
• Professional degree or equivalent experience and 3+ years related IT experience.
• Hands on experience on administration of Nimble, 3PAR, Primera, Alletra, MSA – LUN creation, extension, Virtual copy, Snapshot, Replication, Alerting and monitoring, Capacity Management, Reporting etc
• Administration of SAN Switches and monitoring configuration
• Aptitude towards problem solving and troubleshooting skills on SAN connectivity
• Familiar with SNMP & SMTP protocols
• General knowledge of networking concepts and iSCSI protocol.
• Basic knowledge & understanding of Storage arrays.
Must Have Experience on storage from below:
• Nimble, 3PAR, Primera, Alletra, MSA storage (Anyone) & NAS.
• SAN fundamentals, Switch Zoning, FOS upgrade etc.
• Operating system (any one of Windows, Linux, VMWare)
• Basic Virtualization concepts
Preferable
• Experience with one of the Enterprise Backup software : Rubrik, Commvault, Data Protector, NetBackup
• Knowledge of Remote Support and Remote monitoring processes and concepts
• Tools Knowledge on ServiceNow
• ITIL Certified.
Certifications Preferred
• Any Industry standard storage certification from HPE or other storage vendors
Technical Skills
• S/he will demonstrate an in depth understanding of several products in more than one functional area involving usage, configuration, and interaction with other products.
• S/he must possess a balance of very well developed troubleshooting, technical communication and written skills along with extensive product knowledge and skills.
• Candidate should have excellent technical communication skills both verbal and written.
