Conduct research under the tutelage of a University of the District of Columbia Faculty member, an approved faculty member at a partnering university, or an approved researcher in public or private industry in one of the STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct research on mentor-assigned/approved topic(s). (Research topic may support mentor’s current research, be on a different topic, or may be selected by the student) Participate in the weekly Journal Club Collaborative, Critical Thinking Course, information sessions, and activities sponsored by the STEM Center for Research and Development. The mentee will present research findings to faculty, peers, and at national and local meetings. Should be interested in becoming a Research Scientist.
