QUALIFICATIONS
Must have 4 or more years of direct work experience in startup and installation of HVAC equipment and boiler operation/maintenance
Must possess intermediate knowledge of computer, iPad, and Microsoft Office operation
Understand the different type of air distribution systems such as VAV, double duct, etc.…
The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Be willing and able to travel, if needed
Possess extensive knowledge of chillers, boilers, air handlers, and HVAC systems
Possess knowledge of control and equipment sequence of operations
Possess knowledge of package units up to 90 tons
Data room equipment experience (Liebert and Data Air)
Possessing knowledge about VRF installation is a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
Completion of pre-functional inspections and checklists for startup of commercial HVAC systems
Perform installation on refrigeration systems at time of startup and during warranty period
Troubleshooting, and repairing refrigeration systems at time of startup and during warranty period
Reading and understanding control wiring and high-voltage wiring diagrams
Interpret submittal data and blue prints to ensure that installed equipment and materials meet project specification and codes.
Thoroughly review / read installation and operation manuals to provide proper setup and usage of equipment complete per manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations
Ensure that all field-installed devices are properly completed and mounted during the pre-startup phase
Partner with commissioning agents as required and complete required documentation
Preferred
Experience on commercial, industrial, or government projects.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Job site environment—indoors, outdoors, and potentially in confined spaces or elevated areas.
Requires standing, climbing, lifting 50+ lbs, and working with tools.
Exposure to noise, heat, sparks, and heavy materials.
Work may involve travel between job sites.
