Job Description:
The Design Technology Platform Production Library team develops and delivers high-quality standard cell library collaterals using leading-edge process technologies to support Intel product teams and external customers.
This role is primarily focused on backend library development and collateral delivery. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Own the delivery of standard cell library collaterals, including backend layout and abstract views such as OALibs, GDS, LEF, NDM, and other related library deliverables.
• Drive library characterization methodology and establish robust quality checks to ensure consistency across EDA tools and industry-standard requirements.
• Ensure library quality, consistency, and usability across downstream implementation flows.
• Debug implementation issues reported by design teams and develop effective, innovative solutions.
• Lead library automation initiatives to improve collateral generation efficiency by defining automation framework specifications and driving implementation.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, characterization, CAD, PDK to support smooth library development and release cycles.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience with standard cell design, modeling, and characterization or physical backend
• Strong understanding of backend standard cell library development, physical verification, and layout knowledge.
• Extensive experience with standard EDA tools used for library development, such as Virtuoso and Custom Compiler, as well as physical verification tools including ICV, Calibre, and Pegasus.
• Familiarity with physical implementation tools such as Innovus and Fusion Compiler.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Tcl, or CSH.
• Experience working with PDK integration teams ad EDA vendors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and collaborative environments.
