Opportunities to make a difference on a global or local scale through mentorship and continued learning opportunities Essential Functions: Demonstrates relevant technical working knowledge to understand requirements and address project requirements. Work with Product owners, architects and other relevant stakeholders to gather and refine requirements for one or more products, taking in to account the existing tools and solutions across departments. Translate functional requirements into system designs for one or more components and communicates how the components will interact. Demonstrates understanding of non-functional requirements (NFR) and their impact on the system. Leads junior engineers in understanding requirements. Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate - to ensure the quality of work delivered by teammates is in accordance with development standards. Learn and adopt technologies, like generative AI, that provide developer productivity improvements. 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 6 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) Extensive experience in software engineering with coding languages such as Java and related frameworks like Spring Boot. Development experience in building and using Microservices, specifically with HTTP, REST, JSON. Ability to solve complex software development/design issues. Ability to write clean, coherent code following established coding guidelines. Experience with SQL and NoSQL datastores such as MySQL, MongoDB, etc. Experience in code development using VSCode, JetBrains IntelliJ or any major Java IDE. Experience with GIT/Stash, Maven and Jenkins. Experience with streaming platform like Kafka. Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, HazelCast, Monitoring Tool like Prometheus to understand and able to quickly build and drive team to support future systems. Experience with tools development, automation (CI/CD, Auto Deployment, System Availability, etc.), logging and monitoring. Experience with using GENAI for development of business features and innovations. Experience with front-end technologies like Angular, React is a plus. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team. Experience with Agile methodologies and iterative software development lifecycle principles. Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
