Identifies and contributes to the development and solution strategies to team members that improve the design and functionality of interface features across one or more project features, under minimal guidance. Applies standard processes on the use of programming languages (e.g. HTML, C++, Java) to write code that fulfills website modification requests and technical requirements. Collaborates with others to support the piloting of new technology capabilities and features that enhance the user website experience across e-commerce products. Analyzes bugs for simple issues and applies debugging tools to verify assumptions. For instance, we have exciting team members who are really focused on building scalable systems but didn’t work with payments technology or web applications before joining Visa. Basic Qualifications: 7+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or with an Advanced degree Hands on experience with Java and Kafka Experience in implementing architecture and design patterns Experience with Spring, hibernate and RDBMS technologies like PostgreSQL, Oracle Experience with web service standards and related patterns (REST, JSON) Experience with data analytics and reporting tools Experience with Agile development incorporating TDD, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, utilizing technologies such as GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Chef, Sonar, JUnit, Mock frameworks. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills and the ability to present complex ideas in a clear & concise way, a team player with a strong work ethic Responsible, self-directed, forward thinker, and operates with focus, discipline and minimal supervision. Experience working in Agile environments to work in a fast-paced environment where iterative changes may need to go out in rapid succession. Knowledge of web services standards and related technologies (XML, SOAP, JSON, REST, etc.). Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
