Staff/Senior Full Stack Engineer

Unlike other companies, being a Senior Engineer isn’t just a paygrade or empty title for us here at Akeno. It’s a distinction! It means you have built successful products in the past, faced mysterious production errors and came out on top of them, know how to get stuff done right, not just fast. Being a Senior Full-Stack Engineermeans you can see a feature through from start to end, from the frontend all the way down to the database, and sometimes even a bit of UX design if needed.

You’ll be working in our Applications Team with team mates that “know their stuff”. Colleagues who are there when you need them and not afraid to ask when you can help them. We don’t have dedicated architects or tech leads because frankly—if you’re a true senior—you should be capable of creating a great first draft yourself … and smart enough to involve others to make it even better.

You Will Be Working On

• A state-of-the-art software that helps customers save millions
• Make our software truly enterprise- and self-service ready
• Deliver feature increments from top to bottom
• Resolve bugs in a way that they never happen again
• Create monitoring & testing so we detect issues before the customer ever does
• Continuously improve our DX for even faster development cycles

Requirements:
Skills You Will Need

• Experience in long-term product development
• Strong coding skills in React, Typescript, and NodeJS (or similar techs)
• Intermediate-level skills in databases & GraphQL
• Experience with automated testing tools like Cypress & Jest
• Ability to lead projects or major feature increments
• Capable of constructive discussions with experienced colleagues to achieve elegant, simple solutions

What You Will Find Helpful

• Previous experience with Hasura (GraphQL middleware)
• Good understanding of CSS (the box model, flex box, styling, …)
• Strong background in event sourcing for complex workflows
• DevOps/Cloud expertise to boost internal productivity
• Experience integrating AI systems (e.g., chat, recommendations)
