About Team & About Role:

Our design team is strong and mighty with about 60 amazing individuals from all walks of the industry and life located world wide, with a team of over 20 people in Bangalore Design centre of excellence!!. As our company and our products grow rapidly, it is crucial to scale the experience of our product and our design team in the right way and with the right people. Every hire counts!

We are seeking a core hire for Rubrik’s design team. We are looking for a highly-skilled Staff Product Designer for our India Bangalore site that can help us drive towards making Rubrik a benchmark for enterprise design.

What you'll do:

• Lead design strategy and execution: Champion the end-to-end design process for complex product areas, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible while balancing feasibility and business goals.

• Drive product vision: Partner with Product Management and Engineering leadership to define the roadmap and strategic direction, turning ambiguous problems into clear, elegant user experiences.

• Architect scalable solutions: Move beyond individual features to design holistic systems and workflows. Produce high-quality deliverables—from storyboards and user flows to interactive prototypes and pixel-perfect assets.

• Elevate design quality & culture: Act as a bar-raiser for the team. proactively mentoring other designers, leading critiques, and fostering a culture of feedback and continuous improvement.

• Scale the Design System: Go beyond just "using" the system; help architect and evolve our design language and component libraries, working side-by-side with UI engineers to ensure precise implementation.

• Deepen customer empathy: Cultivate direct relationships with customers to validate hypotheses and ensure our solutions solve real-world problems in the enterprise and cybersecurity space.

• Set the standard for Enterprise UX: Bridge the gap between consumer-grade usability and enterprise-grade complexity, ensuring our tools are powerful yet intuitive.

• Mentor the next generation of design leaders: Proactively identify growth opportunities for team members, providing guidance on both "hard" design skills and "soft" influence skills to help them scale their impact and advance their careers within Rubrik.

What you’ll bring to the team:

• 8+ years of relevant hands-on design experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Design (Product, Industrial, etc.). Master's degree in CS or HCI preferred

• An outstanding portfolio, showcasing your work with a foundation in interaction and visual design, and idea generation.

• Team Player: Be willing to roll up your sleeves and work cross-functionally

• Solid presentation skills & the ability to hold your audience's attention

• Passion for getting things done the ‘right way’ and in a consistent manner across the product.

• You are proactive and not afraid to drive towards finding a better solution

• Someone who listens to others and values understanding above being right

• Someone who enjoys solving complex design problems!!
