This role is for a design leader who will serve as the principal authority on our design system and platform-level experiences, driving quality, consistency, and velocity across all FloQast products. What You'll Do::
• As a Staff Product Designer, you will be a principal force in defining the future trajectory of the FloQast platform, focusing on high-leverage problems across multiple teams or product areas. You will define and deliver the next generation of seamlessly embedded AI capabilities across the product suite.
• Define and Drive Design Strategy: Lead the long-term design vision and strategy for major, cross-functional product domains (not just features) within the FloQast platform, ensuring alignment with company objectives and driving significant business impact.
• Design for Transformative AI: Act as the principal designer translating complex AI capabilities and enterprise requirements into intuitive, high-trust, and scalable experiences that remove adoption barriers and deliver groundbreaking value to accounting teams.
• Architect Design Vision and Roadmap: Partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering Leadership to define the product roadmap and architecture, contributing a deep, user-centered perspective that proactively identifies and scopes opportunities for platform-level improvements.
• Elevate Quality and Consistency at Scale: Set the bar for design quality across the entire platform. Guide the evolution of the design system, establishing standards and patterns that ensure consistency, usability, and technical feasibility across multiple design teams.
• Champion Strategic User Empathy: Design and lead high-impact research initiatives that deepen the organization's understanding of our users' unmet needs, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative data to inform high-level strategic product decisions.
• Lead Complex Execution and Mentorship: Own execution on the most complex, ambiguous projects, driving them to completion. Mentor and coach other designers on the team in strategy, execution, technical feasibility, and cross-functional leadership, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Influence the Organization: Proactively influence stakeholders across the organization, effectively communicating complex design problems, rationale, and solutions to executive leadership and large cross-functional teams.

What You'll Bring::
• You possess a deep professional history in enterprise product design. This experience includes 7+ years of professional experience designing and shipping high-quality, complex SaaS or enterprise products at scale, with a significant track record of delivering organizational impact.
• You maintain a world-class portfolio that demonstrates exceptional capability. Your portfolio showcases exceptional strategic thinking, interaction design, and visual polish, particularly demonstrating work on large-scale data applications, complex workflows, or platform-level tooling.
• You are a proven leader in creating and shipping new platform components. You have proven experience successfully leading and shipping product initiatives from 0-1 that became core components of the platform, demonstrating exceptional ability to navigate ambiguity.
• You demonstrate mastery of core design tools and influence design systems. This includes mastery of design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma) and deep experience contributing to robust design systems used by multiple teams.
• You are fluent in accelerating design through modern, intelligent tools. You leverage advanced proficiency in AI-powered tools (e.g., Figma Make, ChatGPT/Gemini/Claude, etc.) to accelerate knowledge, quality, collaboration, and delivery, with evidence of active toolset experimentation and evolution.
• You possess expert knowledge in designing intelligent, AI-driven experiences. This specialized knowledge includes establishing appropriate user controls, building trust, translating complex models into clear user value, and addressing ethical implications.
• You have exceptional strategic collaboration and organizational influencing skills. You have a proven ability to articulate and defend design rationale to executive leadership across product, design, and engineering.
• You lead and inform organizational strategy through rigorous research. You can design and lead research efforts that inform major strategic product decisions and pivots.

The base pay range for this position is $164,000-$246,000 Compensation is not limited to base salary. FloQast values our Total Rewards, and offers a competitive and elaborate Benefits Package including, but not limited to, Medical, Dental, Vision, Family Forming benefits, Life & Disability Insurance, and Unlimited Vacation. FloQast reserves the right to amend, change, alter, and revise pay ranges and benefits offerings at any time. It is at the Company's discretion to determine what pay is provided to a candidate within the range associated with the role.
