REQUIREMENTS: 

• Experience : 5.5+ Years
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of backend/API development experience, preferably in telecom or digital services.
• Strong experience with Java (Spring Boot, Quarkus), Node.js, or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs, TMF standards, GraphQL, and API Gateway solutions.
• Hands-on experience with OAuth2, JWT, encryption, and secure API practices.
• Experience with microservices architecture, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, and automated testing frameworks.
• Solid coding, debugging, and database integration skills.
• Strong understanding of telecom business feature enablement.
• Experience working in Agile environments and API lifecycle management.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs supporting MTN One Mobile features (recharge, bundle purchase, MoMo transactions, account management).
• Integrate APIs with internal systems (billing, CRM, identity, catalog) and external partners.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with product and architecture teams.
• Develop secure, high-performance APIs aligned with MTN’s digital roadmap.
• Apply secure coding practices and conduct vulnerability assessments.
• Develop and maintain unit, integration, and performance tests.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Maintain API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI) and version control.
• Implement observability (logging, metrics, tracing) and optimize API scalability.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture and governance standards.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
