Role Overview

We’re looking for a Staff Back-end Engineer to help design and build our next-generation Ad Infrastructure, including a Supply-Side Platform (SSP) for our streaming service. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to the architecture and implementation of backend systems that power our advertising business. You’ll work on highly scalable, low-latency systems and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

What You Will Do

• Design and own the architecture and roadmap for our ad infrastructure, including SSP and Ad Targeting components.

• Lead the development of scalable, low-latency systems and OpenRTB integrations.

• Mentor and grow a high-performing engineering team; establish best practices for code quality, system performance, and operational excellence.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals and compliance requirements.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in backend and distributed systems engineering, with a proven track record of leading cross-team technical projects in the ad-tech domain.

• Experience building an SSP, Ad Exchange, or DSP from architecture to production scale.

• Strong leadership in project planning, execution, code/design reviews, and mentoring engineers.

• Deep expertise in low-latency, high-throughput systems, performance profiling, and cost/performance trade-offs.

• Production experience with streaming and data systems.

• Experience defining key metrics, building dashboards, and monitoring system performance and field issues.

• Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Go, Java), with a strong understanding of cloud-native architectures.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with advertising in video/CTV or OTT environments
