ABOUT US:

We’re seeking a talented Staff AI Engineer with 5-7 years of experience to join our generative AI team, the core unit driving our flagship AI initiatives, including our primary product focused on transforming live sports data into engaging narratives like automated match reports, previews, and articles, as well as other innovative AI-driven products. This role blends advanced full-stack software engineering with cutting-edge applied AI research, emphasizing traditional machine learning, NLP, LLM fine-tuning, and modern AI workflows to shape products that reach global audiences.

 

THE CHALLENGE:

• Build Full-Stack AI Applications: Lead the design and development of scalable, user-facing tools and automated pipelines for diverse AI-driven products, ensuring seamless integration from data ingestion to output delivery.
• Integrate and Extend AI Frameworks: Architect and implement sophisticated agentic workflows using frameworks like LangGraph, LangChain, Google Agent Developer Kit (ADK), and custom solutions to process complex datasets and deliver intelligent applications.
• AI Prompting & LLM Fine-Tuning: Develop, test, and optimize prompt strategies and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) for data-to-text generation and other use cases, ensuring high accuracy, coherence, and domain relevance.
• Model Evaluation & Iteration: Design and execute rigorous evaluation pipelines for LLMs and traditional ML models, incorporating rule-based metrics, human-in-the-loop feedback, and performance benchmarking to drive continuous improvement.
• Apply Traditional ML Expertise: Leverage expertise in NLP, model fine-tuning, and traditional machine learning techniques (e.g., classification, clustering, embeddings) to enhance AI-driven solutions.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product managers, data scientists, and domain experts to align AI capabilities with product goals, providing technical leadership and mentorship.
• Deploy and Scale: Deliver production-ready services on cloud platforms like AWS, with a focus on robust monitoring, testing, and performance optimization using modern CI/CD workflows.

ABOUT YOU:

• Advanced Full-Stack Expertise: 5-7 years of experience as a Full-Stack Developer with a strong command of JavaScript, React, Node.js, and Python, coupled with a proven track record of building scalable, production-ready applications.
• Traditional ML and NLP Proficiency: Hands-on experience with traditional machine learning techniques, particularly in NLP (e.g., text classification, sentiment analysis, embeddings), model fine-tuning, and feature engineering.
• Modern AI Workflow Mastery: Deep understanding of LLM fine-tuning, agentic workflows, and prompt engineering, with the ability to design and optimize complex AI pipelines.
• Technical Leadership: Ability to lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical decisions with a focus on scalability, reliability, and innovation.
• Self-Driven Ownership: A proactive, self-motivated mindset with the ability to take initiative, explore innovative ideas, and drive projects forward independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort with Ambiguity: Thrive in dynamic settings, identifying priorities and delivering solutions with creativity, technical rigor, and strategic insight.
• Adaptability and Curiosity: Eager to rapidly learn and apply emerging AI frameworks, tools, and methodologies to solve complex problems across domains.
