Key Responsibilities
• Record and post client financial transactions accurately within general ledgers
• Perform monthly and weekly bank and account reconciliations
• Prepare and file payroll tax returns, including Forms 941, UC8, W-2, and 1099
• Review client transactions regularly to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Draft and analyze financial statements, making necessary corrections
• Maintain organized and comprehensive supporting workpapers
• Post investment activity and journal entries, including depreciation and amortization adjustments
• Prepare budgets and generate budget-to-actual reporting
• Provide responsive support to clients and assist the internal client service team
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and ensure continuity of service
Requirements:
• Prior experience in public accounting
• Strong technical knowledge of financial statement preparation
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online
• Proficiency with UltraTax and experience preparing entity tax returns
• Familiarity with Accounting CS/Creative Solutions, Practice CS, and FileCabinet CS preferred
• Experience with payroll processing, benefits, and payroll tax compliance
• Understanding of internal controls and nonprofit accounting is a plus
• Comfortable working in a cloud-based, technology-driven environment
