The right Staff Accountant will be a proactive individual who is looking to ensure the financial statements are accurate, is excited to work for a growing international company and has strong attention to detail.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Ensure AP and AR processes are followed and maintain and collect proper documentation:
• Assist with accounts receivable process from invoicing to collection
• Assist with general ledger activities such as: journal entries, review AP and AR balances and reconciliations, account reconciliations, management reporting, etc.
• Perform month-end and year-end close activities
• Assist with Financial Statement preparation and analysis
• Review and troubleshoot billing issues
• Generate and review AR aging reports and help with collections
• Update customer accounts and records as needed
• Assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications
• University Degree in Accounting is required
• Excellent written and verbal English and Spanish communication skills
• Minimum of two years accounting experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) and IFRS principles
• Experience with foreign currency translations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel
• QuickBooks Online experience a plus.
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced and changing environment.
