Staff Accountant

ZeroFox is a leading cybersecurity company headquartered in Baltimore, MD. We’re seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you’ll help maintain accurate financial records, support monthly close activities, and play a key role in financial reporting to our private equity owner.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, detail-oriented, professional eager to develop their accounting career in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting operations in accordance with company policies and U.S. GAAP, including critical areas such as revenue and sales commissions

• Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations
• Lead the monthly close for assigned accounts and analyze financial trends or fluctuations
• Partner with team members to maintain effective internal controls and compliance procedures
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives
• Assist with audit deliverables and special projects
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support company goals

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, required
• CPA or active progress toward CPA certification
• 1-2 years of relevant experience, public accounting experience is a plus
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus
• Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational and communication skills
• Proactive and adaptable in a high growth, evolving environment
