The targeted hiring range for this position is $12.26 - $15.96 per hour depending on qualifications; however, the expanded salary range provides opportunities for advancement. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and job location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, competencies, experience, and relevant education, training or a combination of these things and market demand. More information about the specific salary range and benefits for your location will be discussed during the hiring process.

Are you passionate about creating a clean, welcoming environment for guests? St. James Hotel is seeking a dedicated Public Space Attendant to maintain high standards of cleanliness and contribute to an exceptional guest experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain the appearance of the hotel’s interior and exterior, including lobbies, hallways, public restrooms, restaurants, and public areas.
• Keep outdoor areas such as sidewalks, stairs, and outdoor spaces clean and inviting.
• Greet guests warmly and respond promptly to their requests.
• Collaborate with team members using verbal, written, and electronic communication to complete daily tasks.
• Stock guest floor closets with linens and supplies for Room Attendants.
• Deliver housekeeping items to guest rooms as needed.
• Address room-specific maintenance requests, performing minor repairs or escalating issues as necessary.

Additional Duties:

• Conduct routine facility inspections to identify hazards, maintenance needs, and cleaning requirements.
• Participate in educational workshops to maintain technical knowledge.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Assist with other tasks assigned by management.

• 1-3 months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedural guidelines.
• Experience in groundskeeping, cleaning, or maintenance is a plus.

• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication to report issues and respond to guest needs.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
