We are excited to offer an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Tax Preparer/Client Manager. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term relationships. Your responsibilities will include the preparation and review of Estate & Trust and personal tax returns.

What you’ll be doing:

Independently manage and prioritize a portfolio of up to 250 client accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving complex issues, and delivering personalized tax solutions.

Prepare and review complex individual, estate, and trust tax returns, including related state filings, using advanced knowledge of asset valuation and tax regulations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Develop and implement proactive tax planning strategies to help clients minimize liabilities and achieve their financial goals.

Monitor and interpret changes in federal, state, and local tax laws, advising clients and internal teams on implications and opportunities.

Respond to and resolve IRS and state tax notices, mitigating potential client exposure and ensuring timely resolutions.

What you'll bring to the team:

Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA designation, or 7+ years’ experience that includes preparation of Estate & Trust returns, bookkeeping, and higher-level accounting.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and QuickBooks.

Proficiency in Thompson Reuters products, i.e. Ultra Tax, preferred.

Strong communication skills with emphasis on both oral and written communication when dealing with clients and other team members.

Understanding of regulatory and privacy requirements for tax and accounting firms.

Ability to work independently and take the initiative to solve problems and handle multiple client projects at once.

Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and multi-tasking capabilities.

Sustained knowledge of tax laws and industry standards, and tracking trends and changes as necessary.
