ALSO is looking for a Sr. Staff Electrical Engineer, Vehicle Architecture to help us develop electronics systems for multiple micromobility platforms.
What You Will Do
• Drive electrical architecture of micro-mobility platforms, including power distribution, energy storage, compute, sensors, lighting, safety systems, and connectivity modules.
• Establish vehicle block diagrams, interfaces, and design standards that enable modularity and reuse across vehicle lines.
• Evaluate trade-offs between performance, cost, reliability, and regulatory compliance in system design.
• Provide technical direction to systems, electrical, firmware and cable harness teams.
• Drive design for manufacturability, reliability, serviceability and safety, from concept to production.
• Lead design reviews and ensure architecture compliance through the product lifecycle.
• Partner with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing engineering to integrate electrical systems into various vehicle platforms.
• Collaborate with suppliers and technology partners to evaluate and qualify new components and subsystems.
• Work closely with product management to align architecture with business and market requirements.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies in batteries, connectivity, sensors and multimedia systems and integrate them into future product roadmaps.
• Benchmark competitive products and drive continuous improvement in efficiency, safety, and user experience.
• Provide status updates in program meetings and to leadership.
What You Will Bring
• 8+ years of experience in electrical system design for micro-mobility, automotive, robotics, or related industries.
• Proven track record architecting complex electrical systems and delivering from concept to production.
• Excellent system-level thinking and ability to balance technical trade-offs.
