The Application Engineer (AE) interfaces with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Design Engineering with a focus on customer application support and product road test.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support customer applications by designing, building and testing custom demonstration and reference design circuits to meet customer specifications to support the sales of Renesas’s memory interface products.   
• Create customer demo boards to develop new business in different markets.           
• Perform schematics, layout reviews for new customer design wins, and on-site trouble shooting to meet customers’ development schedule. 
• Perform memory interface products road test and make reports.               
• Write product datasheets with applications section, applications notes, design articles and demo board manuals with all text, graphs and diagrams.                                                        
• Provide feedback for new product ideas to help develop new products, or new derivatives of existing products.
 
 
Must to have:                                                                                               
• Rich experiences in power management applications in board level DC-DC applications, such as Buck converter, Boost converter, Flyback converter, etc.                                       
• Familiar with post silicon debug and test.                                 
• Strong lab test and measurement skills required to characterize new products and design application circuit solutions.                                                                                                       
• Strong English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills are required.                                                                                                 
Nice to have:  
• Rich experiences in I2C and I3C: protocol, timing, SI.                                                                         
• Rich experiences in EVB design: scheme, schematic and layout, especially on PMIC/Buck EVB design.                               
• Customer supporting experiences in both consumer and/or industry markets are required.      
• Strong communications skills and open to travel as necessary.
