Job Title: Sr. SQL Server DBA

Location: Atlanta, GA

Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Description:-

· Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.

· Design and implement database scheme and process flow; Analyse Client data to determine necessary data constraints.

· Troubleshoot performance issues and determine the most effective way to increase performance including server configuration changes, index/query changes, statistic updates or partitioning.

· Ensure proper backup and recovery processes are in place.

· Maintain security and integrity controls.

· Build robust ETL solutions to gather data from multiple systems and cleanse and de-dupe the data.

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mgmt. Information Systems, Mathematics or related discipline; 5-8 years technical expertise in database development and administration.

· Additionally, although not required, experience/familiarity in the following is a plus: .NET/C# language and Oracle dbms.

· Administration setup and optimization; SQL Server query performance optimization, file manipulation, exception handling; 5-8 years of experience in systems analysis, applications development and systems architecture;

Management Skills:

· A minimum 5+ years of database administration and T-SQL experience - performance tuning, DTS/SSIS, stored procedures, triggers, views.

· Microsoft SQL Server dbms expertise required, familiarity with or additional skill set including Oracle dbms is a significant benefit.

· Job's primary skill is database administration, but note that SQL Server programming is a highly desirable secondary skill or prior work experience.
