Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience in expertise SQL DBA

 Preferred from big MNCs and huge environments.

 Communications skills should be good as it involves interaction with various operating companies under AXA from different regions.

 We have interviewed about 100+ candidates in last 6 months.

 This challenging role will involve the setup and maintenance of production database environments

 Good Knowledge on Windows NT servers, Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 servers (standard, enterprise & datacenter version)

 Provision of expert advice to application DBA and development teams amongst other responsibilities

 Experience on SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008 a plus

 SQL programming, Scripting and support

 Expert in setting up SQL Server high availability (Cluster, Replication, Mirroring and Log Shipping) feature for 24/7 production environment and troubleshooting

 Provide expertise in SQL database server design and capacity planning for new projects

 Should be able to evaluate/suggest the third party database tools based on need basis

 Proactive involvement in giving suggestion to optimize the current environment and the monitoring

 Good exposure on Installation, Configuration of database Cluster, Replication, Log shipping and Mirroring

 Good knowledge of different clustering solutions (Microsoft and VERITAS).

 Database Bug-fixing, troubleshooting and performance optimization

 Experience on database migrations, up gradation and patching - MUST

 Knowledge/experience on FOGLIGHT, LightSpeed and TSM

 Knowledge/experience with Disaster Recovery

 Able to perform SOX audit & knowledge/experience

 Quality and Process Orientation

 Exposure on audit tools will be an added advantage

 Knowledge on Incidents/Request and Change management process

 SQL DBA with 5/6 yrs of core DBA experience

 Good communication & customer handling capacity

 Must have Cluster experience

 Must have High Availability (H/A) experience (Log Shiping, Replication, Mirroring & Cluster)

 Good exposure in handling production system

 Must have experience in performance tuning of production database

 Handling team & understanding customer SLA & KPI

Strong Communication skills and a team player & leader

 Global experience preferable

 Flexible to come in shifts

 Rotational and ONCAL support
