Title : Sr. SharePoint Designer

Location : Minneapolis, MN

Location : 6+ months

Minneapolis, MN client is looking for a SharePoint Designer.

The client wishes to fill this position 5/18/2015 estimated end date is 11/30/2015.

The client will begin using SharePoint collaboration sites for sharing of information with staff including Leadership, Project Management, Business Analysts, Developers, Quality Assurance Analysts and Integration Management (Support) Analysts. The intention is to use these sites for long-term document sharing, collaboration, alerts, workflow and other uses we identify; therefore, a sustainable, organized design plan is essential. Site Owners and Site Collection Administrators will benefit from design leadership and knowledge transfer from an experienced SharePoint collaboration site designer so that the benefits of utilizing SharePoint 2013 (e.g. searching, archiving, sharing, versioning, performance, content management, workflow, check-in/check-out, security) are maximized, and the collaboration sites fulfill long-term information retrieval and sharing needs.

The client has no previous experience designing collaboration sites, the consultant will be expected to ensure the design meets the department’s needs, and that Site Owners and Site Collection Administrators have the knowledge and ability to maintain the site content. She Owners and Site Collection Administrators will work closely with the consultant

Owners and Site Collection Administrators will be responsible for collecting user requirements from department subject matter experts prior to onboarding the consultant. The consultant will be expected to assist with requirements gathering, if needed.

The design consultant will be expected to:

• Be an expert in designing and implementing SharePoint 2013 sites, community sites and project sites.

• Provide guidance to She Owners to ensure the they take full advantage of SharePoint 2013 features

• Assist with collection of site requirements, if needed

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of customers and technology staff

• Pilot Sharepoint sites with employees to gather feedback and changes before releasing site into production.

• Oversee and perform build efforts.

• Lead the client in developing and implementing at least 2 collaboration sites into production under the guidance above.

• Help the client develop 1 or more out of the box workflow for their site.

• Have a minimum of 3 site owner brown bag events for the site owners.
