In this role, she or he will work closely with the line manager to define, implement, and measure marketing communications strategies and plans for the China and APAC markets. It also collaborates with local commercial leaders, product offering teams, and global central promotional marketing leaders to ensure company-wide alignment on strategic imperatives. Additionally, the role is responsible for enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of brand management, marcom processes, programs, and infrastructure.
To drive targeted business outcomes, the role will specifically lead ABM (Account-Based Marketing) digital marketing campaigns leveraging AI tools and LinkedIn, while partnering with the corporate Customer Experience team to execute critical promotional activities for vertical marketing and new product/system launch—ultimately supporting the company’s profitability, market awareness, and brand perception goals in the assigned regions.
Key Accountabilities
[Brand Leadership & Market Strategy Optimization]
Act as the corporate Brand Champion (internally and in the marketplace) to maintain and promote the brand’s integrity and value
Conduct China and APAC market scanning to spot high-impact opportunities for awareness enhancement and cross-functional collaboration
Benchmark the organization’s marketing activities, performance and investment against industry best practices; carry out gap analysis to formulate an improvement roadmap and business case for required changes
With backing from the Customer Experience leadership team, identify, propose and lead the implementation of high-priority opportunities (e.g., cross-functional projects) to boost the overall effectiveness of the marketing organization
Supervise territory-wide work to manage and allocate marketing resources efficiently across China and APAC markets
[Brand Compliance & Internal Communication Management]
Guarantee consistent and compliant application of Armstrong Brand Guidelines in all internal communications, customer-facing materials and market touchpoints
Lead the marketing governance process to align messaging, promotions and communications with global brand standards
Collaborate with cross-functional business units to design and implement local internal communication programs that highlight organizational values and market success initiatives, while strengthening Armstrong’s positioning as a world-class employer
[External PR & Promotional Program Execution]
Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and execute a comprehensive local public relations (PR) strategy for China and APAC
Drive market awareness of Armstrong’s capabilities, key initiatives and value propositions in the China and APAC regions
Work with regional leadership, Product Offering and Customer Experience teams to define, deliver and manage end-to-end promotional programs, including overseeing multi-media elements to ensure targeted messaging reaches all assigned markets and personas
[Local Digital Asset Management & ABM Campaign Foundation]
Supervise the local execution of core digital assets, covering digital marketing campaigns, regional website content localization and social media (e.g., LinkedIn, WeChat) strategies
Ensure the local execution of digital assets aligns with global brand goals and local market preferences in China and APAC
Develop and implement Account-Based Marketing (ABM) digital campaigns tailored to high-value target accounts in China and APAC
[ABM Campaign Optimization with Tech & Platform Leverage]
Leverage AI tools for customer segmentation, content personalization and campaign performance forecasting in ABM digital campaigns
Utilize LinkedIn’s marketing platform (e.g., sponsored content, InMail, account targeting) to deliver hyper-targeted messages, nurture leads and drive engagement with key decision-makers
Track and optimize the ROI of ABM digital campaigns through data analysis
[Creative Localization & Strategic Event Management]
Lead the localization of promotional design assets (e.g., brochures, ads, digital visuals) to support the global Armstrong brand while matching local market cultures and preferences in China and APAC
Manage a strategic local event plan (e.g., trade shows, customer seminars, webinars) in China and APAC
Ensure local events enhance customer experience, support promotional goals and drive lead generation in the China and APAC regions
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, PR, or a related field. PR agency experience or ABM campaign experience is preferred.
Minimum 5 years of relevant marketing communications experience, with at least 2 years in branding and integrated multi-discipline marketing program development/execution.
Ability to develop creative campaign briefs that align with business goals and resonate with local audiences.
Technical Skills
Strong analytical skills, with experience in marketing reporting, data analysis, and ROI measurement.
Proficiency in marketing automation systems (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) and digital marketing concepts.
Soft Skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Technically savvy, with a focus on process improvement; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Fluent in Mandarin (native level preferred) and English(spoken and written); ability to adapt English communications into Mandarin (not just direct translation) for local relevance.
Based in Shanghai; ability to travel occasionally within China and APAC (as needed).
