Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to strengthen our automated testing practices. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks while ensuring high product quality across web, mobile, and backend systems. This role requires strong hands-on automation expertise, API and database testing skills, and close collaboration with engineering and product teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for mobile (iOS & Android) and web applications.
• Own mobile automation testing using tools such as Appium and/or Playwright.
• Write, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.
• Lead API testing efforts, validating REST APIs, responses, and integrations.
• Perform database testing using SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects across the full bug/defect lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with Backend, Mobile, Product, and DevOps teams.
• Review requirements and designs to ensure testability and coverage early in the lifecycle.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in automation and mobile testing.
• Execute different testing types: functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing.

Requirements:
Automation & Mobile Testing (Must-Have)

• Hands-on experience testing mobile applications (iOS & Android).
• Strong experience with mobile automation frameworks, especially Appium.
• Experience automating native, hybrid, and/or mobile web applications.
• Strong experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright.
• Advanced understanding of automation concepts, framework design, and best practices.
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language:
• Java, Python, or JavaScript.

• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

API & Backend Testing

• Strong experience in API testing (REST).
• Excellent understanding of JSON, request/response validation, and API contracts.
• Experience using tools/libraries such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.

Database Testing

• Strong skills in SQL query writing.
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Ability to validate backend data during automated test execution.

QA Fundamentals

• Strong understanding of testing types (functional, regression, smoke, sanity).
• Experience with test case design, execution, and test planning.
• Solid understanding of defect/bug/task/feature lifecycles.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with performance or load testing tools.
• Experience in e-commerce, delivery, or high-traffic consumer applications.
• ISTQB or similar QA certification
