Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Programming & Scheduling Expert to lead the planning, programming, and scheduling of major bridge projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil works, construction planning, and project management, with a proven ability to prepare and manage complex work schedules. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and expertise in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed work programs and schedules for major bridge projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Utilize advanced scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) to optimize resource allocation and project execution.
• Monitor and update project schedules regularly to reflect progress and address delays or changes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate construction planning and scheduling into overall project management.
• Ensure seamless coordination between design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
• Identify critical paths, milestones, and dependencies to ensure timely project delivery.
• Oversee the supervision and execution of major bridge projects, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
• Conduct regular reviews of project progress and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize schedule disruptions.
• Analyze schedule impacts of claims, variations, and unforeseen circumstances.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and government authorities to ensure alignment with project schedules and requirements.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on project schedules, progress, and performance metrics to stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of project schedules, updates, and correspondence.
• Prepare periodic reports and dashboards to track schedule performance and highlight key issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Post-Graduation in Construction Management or a Certificate Course in Construction Management/Contract Management or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in civil works, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• At least 7 years of experience as a Construction Planning Expert or Project Manager in the supervision/execution of major bridge projects.

Preferred Attributes

• Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Primavera, MS Project, or equivalent software.
• Experience working on projects funded by multilateral or bilateral agencies.
• Knowledge of international standards and best practices in construction scheduling.
• Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are an added advantage.
