Role Responsibilities

-Developing web-based tools using the Python Flask web application framework

-Developing data translation software between datastores (ETL)

-Designing and developing APIs to support reuse and integration of software used within the CTU

-Troubleshooting availability of services and systems, and restoring them to normal operation

-Working with open source and commercial software platforms to implement requested services and systems for the CTU team

-Architect and develop solutions that will run within a cloud
environment and leverage the native services of the respective cloud
provider

-Leverage knowledge of reverse engineering and PCAP (network trace)
analysis to build tools and systems to support CTU requirements

As a managed security provider, SecureWorks expects its
employees to understand and apply commonly known security practices and
possess a working knowledge of applicable industry controls such as NIST
800-53. Employees will be expected to acknowledge their security
responsibilities in writing prior to gaining access to company systems.
Employees will be required to maintain a working knowledge of local
security policies and execute general controls as assigned.

Requirements

-8+ years of experience with scripting-level programming with preference for Python or Ruby

-8+ years of experience working with database systems, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS-SQL

-Professional experience in the area of information security

-Basic networking knowledge and experience with PCAP
analysis-Technical knowledge of fundamental web protocols and
technologies, to include HTTP, HTTPS, HTML, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, JSON,
REST

-Basic Linux experience, including Bash shell scripts, Linux command line tools, Linux administration and networking

-Experience working with version control systems (Git or SubVersion) and issue tracking tools such as Jira
