As a Sr. Principal Engineer within our Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Project Management organization, you will play a critical role in delivering complex, high-impact projects that support the manufacture of life-saving medical products worldwide.
Your Team
You will be part of the ISC ITT/Pharma Project Management Office, based in Malta and supporting manufacturing sites across EMEA and APAC. The team leads product design, material change, and cost-optimization projects end-to-end, partnering closely with manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and engineering functions.
Your Role & Impact
As a Sr. Principal Engineer, you will independently lead large, cross-functional, global programs from concept through implementation. You will define strategy, manage complexity, and enable teams to deliver results that directly support patient outcomes and business sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead multiple complex, global projects with minimal supervision
• Define program strategy, project goals, schedules, and governance
• Drive cost-reduction and operational excellence initiatives
• Build and present robust business cases and financial assessments
• Lead large-scale change controls in regulated environments
• Monitor project health and provide updates to senior leadership
• Resolve technical challenges using structured problem-solving and data analysis
• Prepare technical documentation, protocols, and reports
• Mentor and guide early-career engineers
• Travel internationally as required
What You'll Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading complex engineering
• Strong ability to influence across functions and regions
• Experience in regulated industries (medical or pharma preferred)
• Expertise in project management, sterilization, packaging, or validation
• Strong analytical, strategic, and leadership capabilities

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The minimum salary for this position is €44.800 annually. Your initial pay could be at the minimum or higher based on skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors, all of which are subject to change. This position may also be eligible for competitive benefits, discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive.
