Job Description

As a Sr. Modeling & Simulation Systems Integration Engineer III, you’ll provide deep operational and domain expertise to support mission realism, training effectiveness, and modernization efforts across Air Force command and control and modeling and simulation environments. This role serves as a senior advisor to portfolio, product, and engineering teams, ensuring that simulation behaviors, scenarios, and capabilities accurately reflect operational needs and evolving mission requirements. The position plays a critical role in bridging operational users and technical teams and in guiding the transition from legacy simulation baselines to modernized architectures.

What you’ll do:

• Advise the C2SET portfolio and product teams on operational realism, scenario design, and training relevance.

• Work with Government operators, planners, and engineers to ensure that new capabilities, behaviors, and scenarios accurately reflect mission needs.

• Support transition planning from legacy simulation constructs to modernized baselines, including recommendations on where to focus modeling effort and how to structure scenarios for exercises and test events.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Hold an active U.S. Government issued Secret clearance

• 10+ years of experience in USAF or Joint C2 and M&S domains, including direct involvement in AOC or operational training events.

• Demonstrated ability to translate operational tactics, techniques, and procedures into simulation requirements and behaviors.

• Experience advising software and M&S teams on scenario design, federation use, and training objectives.

• Strong communication skills for working with Government operators, planners, and technical teams.

SALARY RANGE: $179,000 – $189,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:

• The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience

• The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs

• Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation

• This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:

• Performance-based bonuses

• Company-paid training and/or certifications

• Referral bonuses
