Senior Merchandiser – Missy & Juniors Loungewear
Location: Onsite 5 days a week
Position Overview
As the Senior Merchandiser for our Missy and Juniors Loungewear division, you will lead the development and execution of seasonal assortments across loungewear and related categories. This role sits at the intersection of merchandising, product development, and design, ensuring that our collections are trend-right, commercially strong, and aligned with each brand’s positioning.
You will drive the line-building strategy, partnering closely with design and production to create cohesive assortments that meet consumer demand, deliver on financial targets, and support the brand’s growth across wholesale, retail, and e-commerce channels. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the apparel market, loungewear trends, and consumer insights, and can translate that knowledge into compelling product assortments.
Key Responsibilities
Assortment Strategy & Line Building
Develop seasonal assortment strategies for Missy and Juniors loungewear, ensuring alignment with brand positioning, sales goals, and margin targets.
Lead the line-building process, creating balanced assortments across silhouettes, fabrics, colors, and price points.
Identify white space opportunities and new product categories within the loungewear and casual apparel market.
Design Collaboration
Partner closely with design teams to develop trend-right collections that meet both creative and commercial objectives.
Contribute to concept development, fabric direction, and silhouette planning to ensure cohesive seasonal assortments.
Participate in design reviews and product development meetings to ensure the final product aligns with merchandising strategy and brand standards.
Merchandising & Product Presentation
Merchandise seasonal collections to maximize sales performance and margin targets across wholesale, retail, and e-commerce channels.
Present seasonal product lines and assortment strategies to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Ensure strong product storytelling and cohesive assortment flow across categories.
Pricing & Business Performance
Develop pricing strategies aligned with brand positioning and market competitiveness.
Monitor business performance and analyze sales data to identify opportunities, risks, and product performance trends.
Partner with production and sourcing teams to balance cost, margin, and product quality.
Market & Consumer Insights
Maintain a deep understanding of loungewear trends, fabric innovations, and competitive landscape.
Analyze market data and customer insights to inform assortment decisions and product development.
Monitor competitors and emerging trends in both the Missy and Juniors apparel markets.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Act as a key liaison between design, production, sourcing, and sales teams to ensure alignment on timelines and product execution.
Manage seasonal development calendars and ensure on-time delivery of collections.
Ensure products meet brand standards for quality, fit, and overall aesthetic.
Requirements
6+ years of merchandising, product development, or design experience in apparel, preferably in loungewear, sleepwear, or casualwear.
Strong experience with line building and seasonal assortment planning.
Demonstrated ability to partner closely with design teams on product development.
Experience working with wholesale and retail distribution channels.
Strong analytical and business acumen with the ability to interpret sales and market data.
Excellent communication and organizational
skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Excel and merchandising tools.

Salary: The anticipated base salary is $120k-$140k annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, internal equity, and location.
