The Sales Activation team within Visa’s Value-Added Services (VAS) unit creates, delivers, and champions strategic sales initiatives that directly and significantly impact sales performance and scorecard goals across our regions. The function combines the competencies of sales strategy, sales enablement, program design, performance management, and evangelism. The Senior Manager of Sales Activation is responsible for developing content to ensure our vast populations of sellers have access to simplified, relevant and impactful materials to help them sell VAS more effectively and efficiently.

Reporting to the Director of Sales Activation for VAS (within the VAS Sales Readiness team), the Senior Manager will operate as both an individual contributor and team lead, supporting the development and deployment of sales materials as part of Visa’s global sales enablement efforts and strategic Sales Play sales motions. In close partnership with our Marketing, Product, Training, Regional GTM teams and Sales Readiness peers, this leader helps shape the vision for what materials our sellers require in support of global priority products and sales plays and will partner with cross functional teams to ensure the consistent packaging and delivery of these materials across our global sales teams. This individual will also operate in a team lead capacity, supporting Quality Assurance (QA) reviews of sales enablement materials developed by the team, owning the sales content release calendar, acting as a content moderator for the VAS sales content repository, and supporting Sales Activation leadership with ad hoc strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be a relationship builder and problem solver that is always looking for ways to operate and execute more efficiently. They are described by their peers as highly organized and results-driven with a strong bias towards action. They will lean-in to witness firsthand feedback on additional seller requirements and offer a fresh perspective on what and how to deliver materials aligned to those expressed expectations. They will be able to differentiate between the various populations of sellers across Visa and, tailor content and enablement strategies to support them. They will act in a consultative capacity to other Sales Readiness team members, offering perspective to help shape and strengthen VAS sales enablement content.

Success in this position will result in the wholesale enablement of our VAS sales teams with access to world class sales materials. Our team is seeking an individual who actively embodies Visa’s leadership principles in being an empathetic leader, acting decisively, obsessing about clients, and leading by example, and develop enduring relationships with internal stakeholders across the global and regional teams.

Essential Duties:

• Lead the development, delivery, and ongoing management of key sales collateral across global and regional sales teams, including QA reviews of materials created by Sales Activation team members
• Proactively set and communicate Seller Toolkit priorities and associated production schedule as aligned with global and regional VAS sales priorities
• Conduct gap analyses, obtain GTM and seller feedback, and provide strategic recommendations to optimize Sales Play and priority product toolkit materials, enabling sellers across VAS at scale and partner to produce them
• Act as a content moderator for the VAS Sales Content repository, providing oversight and content governance in alignment with standards
• Lead sales program planning across Sales Plays and priority products, partnering with peers in other functional areas (e.g., Sales, Go to Market, Marketing, Product, Pricing, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Enablement, Value Engineering) and across global and regional teams to execute sales programs
• Maintain source of truth resources for sales content development and produce insights and analyses to improve sales content performance, drive understanding of results and provide strategic guidance how to continuously generate best-practice sales materials

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Basic Qualifications:

• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• Proven experience (5+ years) creating and managing content, preferably for a highly matrixed, world-class sales organization
• Demonstrated senior level experience in sales collateral development and sales/business strategy
• Team lead experience preferred
• Payments industry experience a plus
• Highspot experience a plus
• Executive presence including excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Substantial problem-solving ability with strategic focus on impacting business results
• Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor and ability to work with large data sets to synthesize key impacts for stakeholders
• Curiosity & willingness to learn and develop as a professional – high levels of integrity and business ethics
• Act as a consultant and subject matter expert with additional cross functional teams responsible for creating and distributing content to our sales teams
• Proficiency using content management systems and analytic platforms
• Self-starter who takes initiative and works with limited direction
• A strategic problem solver, with an appetite for continuous learning and a keen eye for detail
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to continuously changing priorities and opportunities

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 134,800.00 to 216,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
