The Sr Manager Consumer Products SLA is responsible for leading the development and execution of Mattel's
licensing strategy across Spanish Latin America markets (Mexport and Andean regions), driving growth across all Mattel brands and product categories. This role ensures strategic alignment with global guidelines, maximizes category expansion, and strengthens relationships with key partners and licensees to grow the Consumer Products business in the SLA region.
What You’ll Do
• Lead the creation and execution of the regional Consumer Products strategy across SLA markets, covering all
categories (toys, apparel, HBA, FMCG, accessories, back-to-school, promotions, etc.).
• Own the strategic planning and forecasting process, including quarterly and annual royalty revenue targets
and performance tracking.
• Identify and activate new regional market opportunities (white spaces) to expand Mattel’s brand presence
and drive incremental growth.
• Ensure all strategies are aligned with Mattel’s global and regional objectives, adapting international initiatives
to local market dynamics and expanding Latin America programs to reach a global scale
• Identify, negotiate, and secure strategic partnerships with licensees, retailers, and promotional partners
across SLA markets to expand category coverage and maximize royalty income.
• Lead key regional commercial negotiations, defining business terms aligned with global guidelines and
optimizing long-term value for Mattel.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial partners and key stakeholders throughout Spanish
Latin America.
• Oversee local execution in each market, ensuring brand consistency, operational excellence, and cultural
relevance across the region.
• Monitor and analyze business performance, consumer trends, and competitive landscape to inform regional
decision-making.
• Track and report performance KPIs such as royalty growth, active contracts, category coverage, and
innovation metrics.
• Lead and develop a high-performing regional team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and
accountability.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with internal teams such as Marketing, Legal, Finance, Creative, and
Global Brand & Franchise partners.
• Ensure proper cadence and communication between regional leadership and local market teams to drive
execution and alignment.
• Represent Mattel at regional partner meetings, industry events, and strategic presentations, promoting the
company’s leadership in the Consumer Products industry across SLA markets.
Who We're Looking For
• Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, or related
field.
• Master's Degree Preferred: Master’s degree or MBA with a focus on global business or consumer goods.
• Minimum of 8 years in similar roles within consumer goods, entertainment/licensing, retail, or toy industries.
• Proven experience in regional management and leading multicultural teams.
• Strong track record in product development, licensing, and commercial expansion.
• Expertise in licensing strategies, product development, and brand management.
• Deep understanding of Latin American markets and their cultural and commercial dynamics.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Analytical mindset to interpret sales data, market trends, and consumer behavior.
• Languages: Native Spanish and fluent English (spoken and written).
