VERSANT is seeking a strategic and dynamic Senior Manager of Digital Platforms & Ventures and Brand Communications to support communications for its digital entertainment portfolio, including Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes and Fandango at Home. This role will also support executive communications across the Entertainment and Digital Platforms and Ventures divisions. 
The Sr. Manager will work closely with the VP, Entertainment & Digital Platforms & Ventures Communications and cross functional teams across the company to develop compelling narratives and secure meaningful coverage for the Digital Platforms & Ventures business.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop story angles, pitches and press materials to publicize various brand products and services for Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes, leveraging relevant industry trends, consumer insights and seasonal opportunities 
• Drive publicity for digital content initiatives, including original video, celebrity-driven content, and exclusive programming across Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with national, tech, business, and entertainment reporters (film and TV) and broadcast producers
• Translate complex business priorities across product, streaming, and digital platforms into clear, compelling stories that resonate with media, partners, and consumers
• Develop executive messaging frameworks, briefing materials, and rapid-response talking points for high-visibility and time-sensitive situations
• Identify and secure high-impact opportunities for Executives including media interviews, speaking engagements, industry panels, and awards recognition
• Partner closely with multiple internal stakeholders to learn of new partnerships and ensure communications support broader business objectives
• Lead end-to-end communications and operations for major industry events (e.g., film festivals, exhibitor conventions), including messaging, press opportunities, and on-site activations
• Plan and staff industry events, press tours and interviews, as well as assist with executing company-wide events when needed
• Ensure consistent, timely, and reputationally sound communication across all brands and platforms 
• Manage weekly media tracking and reporting, event calendars, and detailed maintenance of media contact lists 
• Manage an external PR agency, ensuring strong alignment and strategic execution across initiatives for all digital brands 
• 6+ years of experience in media relations, corporate communications, or strategic communications, preferably within a media, entertainment including film, or technology environment.
• Established relationships with reporters across top tier entertainment and media industry outlets, with a demonstrated ability to secure meaningful, high impact coverage.
• Exceptional writing and messaging skills, with experience developing press releases, executive talking points, briefing materials, and other media materials.
• Experience leading proactive earned media strategies and supporting communications around major announcements, partnerships, or corporate milestones.
• Strong understanding of the media, entertainment (TV and film), and technology landscape, including key industry trends and the evolving media ecosystem.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cross functional teams and navigate complex organizations to advance communications priorities.
• Strong judgment and the ability to operate effectively in fast paced environments while managing sensitive or high visibility issues.

Additional Information: 
• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
• Salary range: $100,000 - $115,000 (bonus eligible)
