A Sr. Management Analyst job is available with the City of Fort Worth Environmental Services Department’s Planning and Data Analytics Division to manage the collection and analysis of metrics, create and implement strategic planning documents, presentations, maps, monitor grant activities, and other various special projects for the department, in addition to supervision of the division’s staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, business administration or a related field
• Four (4) years of experience in the analysis of processes, procedures, operations, systems, or methods, including experience in the functional area of assignment, such as budget/financial management, research analysis, or related experience or applicable education for experience equivalency
Preferred Qualifications:
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in environmental programs and or solid waste management
• One (1) year of experience in a supervisory capacity
• Knowledge of concepts related to budget management, business planning, policy development, and strategic planning
• Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Suite, Smartsheet, and PeopleSoft
The Sr. Management Analyst job responsibilities include:
• Manage, coordinate, and supervise assigned staff. Administer programs; make and provide guidance for routine and special project work assignments; allocate resources; provides training/coaching, develop goals, and provide routine feedback in addition to required evaluations, leads implementation objectives in the department’s annual workplan
• Manages and supports the development and implementation of departmental and citywide strategic plans; providing professional-level research, analysis, and interpretation in support of assigned projects
• Facilitate interdepartmental and community meetings, creating agendas and leading discussions for collaboration on master and long-range plans, creating and providing presentations, drafting reports, and other documents related to projects
• Participates in the preparation of the annual budget development process; monitors and approves expenditures; ensures adherence to division budget; and recommends budget adjustments and modifications as appropriate and necessary, oversees the tracking of the department’s vehicles/vehicle replacements, and technology assets; tracks and reports on expenditures and activities related to grant programs
• Develop working relationships with outside organizations, contractors, consultants, vendors, and community members. May include work with volunteers, non-profit organizations, and boards, and presentation of the City/Department at external meetings and events
• Directs data analysis, reporting, KPIs, and benchmarking efforts using enterprise systems such as ISM and Crystal Reports; manages development, implementation, and maintenance of departmental performance dashboards
• Works with legal to clarify contractual issues when necessary and documents potential improvements, changes, and modifications
