Title: Sr. Linux System Administrator

Location: Merrifield, VA

DURATION: 7 MONTHS

Description

The client seeks a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to manage a shipping laboratory environment

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of Linux system management experience (OS, Networking, monitoring, etc

• Hardware maintenance (problem identification, remote card reader, component swap outs, and I Installations

• Familiarity with scanning technology

• Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical ‐ Will

• Interact withheld when problems are reported.

• Needs to be able to describe problems for team resolution. Will write test procedures for new functionality and verifying bug fixes

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with shell programming (bash and korn shell) and/or C/C++/Java

• Demonstrated ability to lead others and manage multiple assignments simultaneously

• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
