Member of Test & Validation team in Powertrain department in Santa Clara, US.

Sr. Powertrain Lab Engineer, as key member of T&V team, will lead the testing and operation of powertrain labs ensuring accuracy, safety and test integrity.

2. Responsible for lab configuration and operation powertrain static labs (HIL, HV labcar/buck, battery chamber) as well as dynamic labs (E-motor dyno, powertrain system dynos)

3. Definition of lab plan according to powertrain function integration, test & validation plan. Test strategy alignment & coordination with Powertrain colleagues in Nanjing, China.

4. Responsible for lab maintenance, lab update hardware/software and lab safety.

5. Member of HV safety group to implement electrical safety at work according to best practices and national standards. Generation of risk assessments, procedures and checklists for lab and vehicle operation.

6. Automation of test cases and test reports to support powertrain system engineers to increase testing coverage and reduce testing time.

7. Work with component owners and software development team (VCU, BMS) to execute automated testing on component level and system level (HIL, Labcar).

8. Support failure analysis, reporting, tracking of issue resolution and bugfix testing plan.

More than 8 years, High voltage system integration, test & validation.

More than 5 years, experience in powertrain labs.

Experience in one or more of the following labs is required: HIL systems (e.g. ETAS/DSPACE),

HV labcar/buck, Powertrain system/E-motor dyno (e.g. AVL/HORIBA), Climatic battery chambers).

Strong knowledge of electric vehicle functions and vehicle architectures (HV and EE).

Strong knowledge of international / national electrical safety standards.

Experience in electrical safety at work, risk assessments, procedures for labs and electric vehicles.

Proficient in use of software tools such as CANoe,CANape/INCA.

Proficient in use of tools & equipment for LV and HV analog measurements.

Experience in thermal testing and measurement equipment is advantageous.

Experience in ETAS Labcar operator, dSPACE Control Desk, AVL Puma is advantageous.

Experience in automation software like ECU-TEST (Tracetronic), Labcar-automation (ETAS), Automation desk (DSPACE) is advantageous.

Certification for electric safety at work up to 1500VDC/1000VAC (OSHA, TUV, OEM) is advantageous.

BA or Master engineering degree is essential

Proven Excellence/expertise in the field may be taken into consideration
