Sr Infrastructure Engineer I/ II- AWS Infra Engineer

WHO YOU ARE:

An experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer to join our cloud platform team. This role is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing AWS infrastructure to support engineering teams building scalable, secure, and cost-efficient platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on knowledge of AWS architecture, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud cost management, as well as strong problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical challenges.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Partner with engineering and platform teams to design and implement robust, secure, and scalable AWS infrastructure solutions.

• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced AWS infrastructure issues across compute, networking, storage, and deployment pipelines.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams adopting AWS services and best practices.

• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

• Drive cost optimization efforts by analyzing usage patterns, implementing right-sizing strategies, and leveraging AWS cost management tools.

• Design and enforce security best practices, including identity management (IAM), encryption, network segmentation, and compliance monitoring.

• Collaborate with the Security team to ensure environments meet governance and compliance requirements.

• Automate operational tasks to improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency of AWS infrastructure.

• Stay current on new AWS services and features and evaluate their potential benefits to the organization.

• Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and playbooks for infrastructure deployment and troubleshooting.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

• 4–7 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining AWS environments at scale.

• Proven expertise in architecting and troubleshooting AWS-based infrastructure for production systems.

• Advanced knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFront, Lambda).

• Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other Infrastructure as Code tools.

• Strong understanding of networking, security, and automation in AWS.

• Experience implementing monitoring and logging solutions (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Datadog, Prometheus, etc.).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Competence in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (Preferred)

• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty (Preferred)

• AWS Certified Security – Specialty (Preferred)

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvement.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence AWS design and operations decisions.
