As Senior Sales Manager on our CPG Team, you will define, launch and drive strategic outcomes and operationalize the vision for the sales team. We’re looking for a high-performing candidate with experience building advertising/media sales teams, passion for solving ambiguous problems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence cross-functionally and globally. Our advertising business is thriving, our user base continues to grow, and we believe the impact of this role can fuel our company’s growth in unprecedented ways.

What you’ll do:

• Lead a high-performing team of junior and senior Client Partners and Client Account Managers within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, with a focus on Beauty, Health, and Household Care, reporting to the CPG Industry Director.

• Build strong external relationships with senior decision-makers across partner organizations (brands and agencies), establishing trusted partnerships and driving industry thought leadership.

• Grow Pinterest revenue sustainably across CPG by building the strategy and action plan for your scope of business, balancing short- and long-term priorities, and driving operational excellence across key metrics.

• Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends to senior leadership as they relate to your team’s client partnerships.

• Hire, develop, and lead a diverse, high-performing team, fostering a strong and inclusive culture to support both emerging and established clients.

• Achieve revenue targets through effective planning, goal setting, performance analysis, and forward-looking forecasting.

• Partner cross-regionally and cross-functionally to build cohesive plans with peers and internal stakeholders, including Product, Sales Operations, and Marketing.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong experience in advertising sales, media, and/or marketing/brand building, with an established network in the German market—preferably within CPG (Beauty, Health, and Household Care).

• Strong people leadership capabilities; proven people manager experience required.

• Deep understanding of how media works, including core KPIs, terminology, and the drivers behind media investment decisions.

• Demonstrated commercial acumen and an analytical, data-informed mindset.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence effectively across stakeholders and levels.

• Maintains objectivity and composure under pressure; takes a forward-thinking approach when faced with adversity. Learns from setbacks, and manages crises and volatile situations effectively.

• Thrives in a dynamic, results-focused environment; comfortable navigating ambiguity and change. Resolves escalations and keeps people and projects moving forward, coaching direct reports to find solutions and deliver outcomes despite incomplete information. Acts as a steward of business-driven change and helps the team adapt while staying productive.

• Makes sound, timely decisions while seeking appropriate context and evaluating alternatives. Synthesizes experience and multiple inputs to determine the best path forward; willing to make tough (even unpopular) decisions when needed.

• Builds and sustains a high-performance team culture; addresses unproductive behaviors and challenges poor outcomes for self and others. Sets a high bar for performance and results, demonstrating resilience and consistent follow-through to successful completion.

In-Office Requirement Statement

We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.

This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times per week and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from the Hamburg or Berlin office
