EnerMech is seeking a highly experienced Senior HR Advisor to play a key role in supporting and strengthening our operations in Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago. The Senior HR Advisor will serve as a trusted HR partner to the EnerMech Caribbean operations, providing hands-on, strategic, and compliant HR support across Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago. This role requires a strong generalist background with proven experience in employee relations, compliance, workforce planning, and stakeholder engagement within an international or project-based environment.
Job Description:
• Act as a strategic advisor to site leadership and management teams across Guyana and Trinidad.
• Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, investigations, and performance management.
• Support workforce planning, organizational changes, and succession planning initiatives.
• Partner with managers to drive employee engagement, retention, and culture initiatives.
• Ensure full compliance with local labor laws, statutory requirements, and employment regulations in Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regional employment legislation and advise leadership on risk mitigation.
• Support audits (internal and external), ensuring accurate HR records and documentation.
• Ensure EnerMech policies, procedures, and codes of conduct are consistently applied across the region.
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance and a positive employee experience.
• Advise on compensation, benefits, and market benchmarking in alignment with company frameworks.
• Support annual performance review cycles and talent development processes.
• Coach managers on effective performance management and development planning.
• Identify training needs and coordinate learning initiatives where required.
• Ensure accurate employee data management within HR systems.
• Support payroll and benefits administration in partnership with regional and global HR teams.
• Prepare HR reports and metrics to support business decisions.
• Travel regularly between Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago to provide on-site HR support and maintain strong relationships with local teams.
• Act as a consistent HR presence across both locations, ensuring alignment and continuity.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive HR generalist experience, preferably in oil & gas, energy, engineering.
• Strong working knowledge of Caribbean labor laws (Guyana and/or Trinidad experience strongly preferred).
• Proven experience handling complex employee relations and compliance matters.
• Experience supporting multi-site or regional operations.
• HR certification (CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent) preferred.
