Warehouse Operations is at the center of this! Warehouse Operations is responsible for the core functions of our business - supporting the daily supply chain to receive, pick, pack and deliver thousands of goods to our customers. Interested? Learn more below.

The Sr. General Manager of Operations will lead people, processes, and systems at our flagship warehouse in Moonachie, NJ. The Sr. General Manager will have responsibility for the total operational performance of a high-volume, large-scale Warehouse facility. The Sr. General Manager serves as the Leader of the site and is the face of the organization to our associates and drivers.

Travel requirement: 10% (primarily for regional alignment and best-practice sharing).

Scope of Work:

• Site Leadership: Lead a large-scale, 24/7 Warehouse by leading through AGMs and department leads to deliver products on-time, in-full, and damage-free to customers. Effectively lead all departments including: Inbound, Picking, Packing, E-Comm, ICQA, Outbound. Effectively manage all aspects of fleet, facilities and services.

• Compliance & Culture: Ensure compliance with personal, vehicle and food safety standards, as well as quality standards, regulations, policies, and procedures, promoting a positive and values driven culture within the facility.

• Metric Delivery: Lead delivery of all targeted metrics across Safety, People, Quality, Productivity, and Costs for the site.

• Financial Oversight: Full P&L and annual budgeting process responsibility for the facility. Ensure financial oversight over all expense areas.

• Labor Planning: Drive labor planning to ensure the warehouse is staffed to support growth without overstaffing.

• Inventory Integrity: Ensure the warehouse is maintaining inventory accuracy and product is handled to eliminate damage/loss within the facility.

• Continuous Improvement: Lead process improvement projects by working cross-functionally with Ops Ex and Supply Chain teams, managing change within the warehouse.

• Operational Readiness: Support Operations Readiness and staffing structure for site expansions or local integrations.

• Team Development: Develop high performance teams within a fast-paced environment that will exceed customer expectations.

• Systems Innovation: Partner with Technology and Ops Ex teams to define system enhancements to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of warehouse and driver execution.

• Knowledge Sharing: Take proactive steps to ensure Best Practices are learned and shared across the broader network.

• Succession Planning: Develop a Succession Plan for each department and leadership level within the Warehouse.

• Strategic Planning: Support long-term strategy as it relates to facility capacity, layout, and design.

• Performance Management: Evaluate the performance of AGMs and department leads, providing timely feedback, coaching, and career development plans.

Core Competencies:

• Industry Experience: 7-10 years of operations management experience in warehousing, logistics, distribution, and/or local delivery-final mile.

• Leadership Experience: 5-7 years of experience leading direct reports and driving their success and development.

• Performance Driven: Demonstrated ability to deliver metrics across Safety, People, Quality, Productivity, and Costs.

• Problem Solving: Proven proficiency tackling complex problems that affect customers by delivering innovative solutions.

• Subject Matter Expertise: Must have strong working knowledge of Transportation, Fleet, Safety, Food Safety, and regulatory.

• Collaboration: Must be able to deliver results by working with many matrix teams to deliver greater results.

• Change Management: Proven ability to lead large-scale operational shifts, technology integrations, and process improvements in a 24/7 environment while maintaining performance metrics and a positive culture.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $140,000-165,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market, location, and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. Certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role
