Role Overview

Promise is building MUSE, the next-generation platform where AI meets VFX to revolutionize how content is created. We're looking for a passionate and talented Full Stack Developer to join our innovative team and help us push the boundaries of what's possible.

​​Reporting directly to the VP of Product, you will be instrumental in implementing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable, and intuitive solutions across the entire technology stack. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, a strong sense of ownership, and a collaborative spirit to translate complex creative and technical requirements into elegant, high-performance features that enhance creative workflows, with a key focus on automating and accelerating our deployment processes through CI/CD. Key Responsibilities

• Full Stack Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable solutions across the entire stack, from high-performance backend services to intuitive user interfaces for the MUSE platform.

• CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Define, implement, and maintain robust Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) into our pipeline to automate testing, building, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable delivery of features.

• Technical Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across various layers of the application and infrastructure, ensuring system reliability and performance.

• Architectural Contributions: Contribute significantly to the overall architecture of the MUSE platform, ensuring its scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability as we grow.

• Best Practices & Innovation: Implement and advocate for best practices in software development, including rigorous automated testing, comprehensive code reviews, clear technical documentation, and continuous process improvement.

• Stakeholder Alignment: Work with the VP of Product to align technical priorities with product roadmaps with business objectives.

• Creative Translation: Work closely with GenAI Directors, Production, leadership, and other team members to translate complex requirements into elegant technical solutions that enhance creative and artistic workflows.

Qualifications

• Senior Experience: 5+ years of experience in professional software development, with a significant focus on full-stack engineering roles.

• Domain Knowledge: Proven experience implementing and developing highly scalable, secure, and reliable applications and services.

• VFX/Media Technology Exposure: Some experience or strong familiarity with the tools, pipelines, and technical challenges specific to the Visual Effects (VFX) or animation industries.

• Architecture Focus: Demonstrated ability to contribute to and advocate for sound architectural patterns, ensuring systems are maintainable and prepared for future growth, including a focus on API proficiency and adherence to the Model Context Protocol.

• Demonstrated ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and advocate for long-term system health over short-term solutions

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Technical Skills / Qualifications

• Languages: Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Go, Rust) and one modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Vue, Angular). Python is highly preferred.

• Experience implementing or working with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar AI integration frameworks

• Cloud Environment: Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and building cloud-native applications.

• CI/CD Tools: Deep, hands-on experience with modern CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI).

• Containerization: Expertise with modern containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Data Stores: Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.

• API Design: Experience designing and implementing Micro-Services, RESTful APIs or GraphQL services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Generative AI models (e.g., knowledge of APIs, serving, or integrating models into production pipelines).

• Experience with modern containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• A strong passion for film, television, or digital media content creation.
